The year 2018... John Konnor is the man fated to lead Resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered by mysterious Marcus Wright, a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past, whether he is a human or a machine, whether he can trust him or not. And as Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor decides to take his chance and embarks with Marcus in the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

Terminator Salvation is no doubt the most titled franchise of the year. After some frustration of Rise of the Machines many terminator-fans really believed to receive a praiseworthy movie. Far from it. Though the original idea was not bad. In the fourth part we were going to see the terrible future predicted in the previous series where rough John Connor fearlessly fighted with the army of Terminators and heroically confronted vicious Skynet.

But as you start watching the movie you unexpectedly come to know that the real leader of Resistance is General Ashdown whose commands John Connor has to perform. Skynet is also full of surprises. Armed to the teeth, Skynet has captured all the human weapons, it sends its robots at fainest sounds, it dominates air, land and see, but at the same time it permits people to have airfields, or submarines. We should think iron creatures prefer to live in ponds and not in the ocean. Moreover, John Connor can freely speak with his radio audience, machines seem to be too stupid to be in the way. It really seems Skynet is fighting for justice and wants everything to be fair.

But if to miss all these inaccuracies, or better forget that you see Terminator 4, the movie is really good. Special effects are at the level; machines, explosions and scenes of persuit impress. But the real success of the film is in its actors. Sam Worthington (Marcus) is the new male face in modern filmmaking. Moon Bloodgood (Blair Williams) can be characterized as continuing feminine strength that has been prominent throughout the franchise. Thus, Terminator Salvation worth you time spent. And let's hope the producers won't decide to please us with the fifth part.
